As I write this article I’m recovering from an altercation between my bicycle and the road. Yes, I came out second best!
Well sort of…
Fortunately, my positive attitude allowed me to learn a valuable lesson from my hospital bed.
My loss of memory, at first seemed minor, but as I contemplated it, my mind began to see a bigger picture of its relevance. Those 18 hours are gone forever – they are inconsequential in my life.
Inconsequential! Wow, part of my life has been insignificant to me. I began to realize even more the power of living my life passion and the necessity to be the best person I can be, at every opportunity.
It made me think…
We live life once, when today has gone, it becomes yesterday and there is no way of getting it back. It’s our responsibility to ensure we have a dream life based on our life passion and to ensure that every second of every day counts.
For many years I’ve been privileged to live my life purpose, which is to develop others by tapping into their unrealized potential, thereby impacting positively in their lives. As I go about my daily activities to be the best I possibly can be, I find opportunities to inspire others, allowing them to live a dream life too.
If, by being my natural self, I can be an example to others of what is possible in this world and motivate them to be the best they can be and reach for their dreams, then I have accomplished my goal and achieved my life passion.
So, reflecting on my amnesia encounter, I ask myself: “Am I living a dream life?”, “Do I impact positively in the lives of others?”, “Do I awake every morning knowing that my day holds another opportunity for me to live my life passion?”, “Am I achieving all that I have set my heart to achieving?”, “Do I do all that it takes to be the best that I can possibly be in all that I do?”. My answer is yes. I know with absolute certainty that I lead a dream life of significant consequence every single day and it is my wish that every person I encounter experiences such a fulfilled life for themselves too!
I encourage you to spend some quality time contemplating these questions for your life. Analyze your answers and decide if the life you are leading is one of significant consequence or is it one that passes by unnoticed.
If the former, I applaud you and encourage you along your chosen path. You will be proud of the accomplishments you will achieve in life. If the latter, I urge you to make a decision now to be the best you can be and to make your life meaningful. Discover your life passion, uncover a dream life and purpose that will allow you to be the best person you can be. Ensure that your every step moves you closer to your ideal self and to living a dream life based on your passions. You deserve it!
